Many of us are looking for ways to improve our quality of life.
For Italians in particular, the home has long been central to what a good life means.
Home is where the day begins and ends. It should reflect who we are and what we need; otherwise, it can begin to feel restrictive.
A demanding life and stressful work become easier when we have a refuge. Home gives the mind time to rest, recover and consider how to improve other aspects of life.

An old Italian nursery rhyme captures that feeling:
“My home, however small you may be, you seem a grand dwelling to me.
So neat and cheerful, so bright and clear, you have all that matters here.
No splendid halls, perhaps, but flowers at the sill and fluttering wings beneath the roof.
And the greatest treasure brings you cheer: my dear mother’s smile and care.”

The perfect home may not exist, but there is a home that suits us. Its value is not only its floor area, but the energy and wellbeing it gives back.
