Cookies and browser storage
Technical features include language choice, security and sign-in when requested. Saved properties and articles are stored locally when you use those features. Back navigation uses temporary browser storage. These features do not create a HINRE advertising profile.

Optional statistics
Only after consent, a temporary timestamp estimates the beginning of a visit or a return after 30 minutes. The browser sends a page identifier and a yes/no visit flag to HINRE. The database stores only daily totals, without visitor identifiers or search terms. Choosing Essential only stops future collection and removes the statistics timestamp. Aggregated totals cannot be linked back to an individual.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals take priority: the HINRE counter stays off when either is enabled.
Infrastructure and deletion
Security and authentication cookies are managed by the hosting and sign-in infrastructure. Cloudflare’s documentation describes its security cookies; see also the OpenAI cookie policy for its services. The exact authentication cookies and lifetime depend on the sign-in flow.
Browser settings let you inspect or delete site cookies and local storage. Clearing site data removes saved properties and reading lists and may sign you out. With JavaScript disabled, the optional statistics counter does not run.
