Being a property adviser is a serious responsibility.
When I entered this sector, partly out of curiosity and partly as a challenge, I imagined a world of hard work, fair competition and sincere collaboration. I soon found plenty of hard work, but less sincerity in the competition and collaboration.

I still believe in it.
I believe that collaboration, so often promoted and less often practised, can help create the profession I imagined.

We each shape the world around us.
Your future life will reflect the actions you choose today.

Being a property adviser is more than a job.
It is a reason to get up in the morning.
It is the passion you feel.
It is caring about the places where people will spend part or all of their lives.
It is respect for others.
It is the wish to help someone realise a dream and make your own time meaningful.

I may not be in a position to advise people with many years in property.
But experience shows that working together can improve results and share the effort.
To established professionals, I would say that the world is changing and clients are increasingly informed. Treat them accordingly.

More expertise
More honesty
More collaboration
Less superficiality
Less opportunism
Less division

This helps clients recognise professionalism and shifts the conversation beyond fees. Time can then be spent on learning and personal growth, which supports professional growth. Being a good professional starts with how we act as people.
Everything else soon loses its meaning.
